The waters of Peta rill and especially the lacustrine formations along the valley house a tropical specie of snail, as well as a sub-specie of fish named Rosioara (Scardinius Eryhrophthalmus Racovitzai), adapted to a temperature of 28-34 degree Celsius. The resort has been famous since old times. Tools and traces of human settings from Neolitic have been found on the resort territory and around it. Some of the archeological discoveries certify that the resort was known by the Romans, too. In some of the Middle Ages documents, Baile 1 Mai are named Baile Oradiei (Thermae Varadienses).

In 1465, Ianus Pannonius, Matei Corvin’s favourite poet praises the healing powers of the Baile 1 Mai springs, especially for eye diseases. The thermal waters are rich in bicarbonate, sulfate, calcium, sodium, silica and oligo metals. They are both for external use as baths in tubs and pools, as well as for internal use. The following disorders are treated in the resort: inflammatory rheumatism, degenerative rheumatic disorders, articular rheumatic disorders, post trauma disorders, disorders of central and peripheral nervous systems , gynecological disorders and associated nutrition and endocrinologic metabolic disorders. PERSPECTIVES In the future we want to open 3 pools with thermal water supply, a massage room and a sauna . Our clients will have the opportunity to be served on the beach with different restaurant and bar products, even ice cream. Our van may be used for a trip to Bears Cave(Chiscau) for a sightseeing of Oradea city( Moon Church, Tarii Crisurilor Museum and Black Eagel Palace) or for a trip to Hungary in Hayduszabaszlo resort or Debrecen city. The van provides the transfer to the airport or railway station. Our hotel has a rent- a -car service.
